It is not surprising to me when I hear people say things like what you have just said. Mankind, in general, does not realize how much power we have. And the greatest challenge in shutting down the grid with our will/intention is actually twofold. First, most people are like you - they don't believe we can do it. And second, most people would not WANT to do it because they are addicted to their devices and do not want to let go of them. I, myself, have no wireless devices, yet I too fear shutting down the entire grid, especially during winter, as many are completely dependent on artificial heating systems with no fireplace or wood burning stove in their homes.
